Ped Egg

I have to share my new fabulous find. Maybe you have seen the gross infomercial advertising the Ped Egg. The website is equally bad. But I have to say, I purchased one of these at Bed, Bath and Beyond this weekend and it works MIRACLES!!!
I have major feet issues that have gotten worse since I have lived in such a warm, dry climate. It has a microplaner on it that you rub over your feet/heals and takes off all the dead skin. It takes a little while but my feet haven't looked this good in months (maybe even years). They look better than they do after a professional pedicure. Don't order it online, just get it at BB&B for only $10.

Now I sound like the infomercial :)

Scream Free Parenting

So I have a toddler, as some of you guys also do! In an effort to make our home more peaceful and me to maintain my sanity as a full time mom and a full time employee, I found this book. I actually bought it on iTunes for only like $14 for the book, and I've been pleasantly surprised. Now, I know there is no book out there that gives you all the answers, and as we know, all kids are different...but I like his approach. He recommends that you learn to control your own anxiety as a parent, and your children will respond better. I also like the philosophy that you are not responsible FOR your kids, but TO your kids. Anyways, it was only about 4 hours of listening time (2 days commute for me) and I've started to listen to it a second time. Anyone else read it? If not, I recommend it...some GREAT ideas!

Eyeshadow anyone?

Hi everyone. I have never left a post before, but I feel like I have to share this new find. I love it. By the way, my name is Jana and I am Jocelyn's sister. And Shannon cleared me for being a part of this blog. Thanks for all the great finds everyone. Love it! So, here is it. My new favorite eyeshadow. And I am a pretty devoted MAC customer. It is Clinique Touch Tint for eyes. Does everyone already know about this? I am slow. So here it is so you can see what you are looking for when you go to buy it. I love the "nude sparkle" most of all. Happy decorating. :)

WhoMI

Hello everyone!! Remember me? I don't think I've posted in at least 2 months, maybe 3. Anyway, I now have a good thing to post about and WKTGS is the first place I am telling about it! Have you ever heard of the "WhoMI"? My girlfriend showed me hers today and it is AWESOME! It is a planner that fits in your purse. It is small enough to be compact, but big enough to actually be able to write things in. It has a section that is a month look and then a section that is week by week AND you can even keep your kids calendar in it! I know it sounds confusing but you have to see it to believe it! The website is whomi.com. You'll want to click on "2008 Collection has arrived". Then click on "Clarity Agenda", then click on "design" to select the size and design you'd like. I'd suggest getting the compact as it fits more conveniently into your purse. The original is still small but not as compact! Let me know what you think!! HAPPY PLANNING!

Is This The Good Stuff???

So I'm sure some of you have heard but they have FINALLY done the casting for Edward.  Let me know what you all think!

Love Anyone!

My sister-in-law gave Steve and I some great books for Christmas. I have only read one already and I loved it so I thought I would share. It is - "The Five Love Languages" by Gary Chapman. There are 'quizzes' in the back to find out what language you and your spouse speak. Then he talks about each of the languages and some other stuff. It is really great and practical and a fun, fast book to read. She also gave us "The Five Love Languages of Children" I just started reading it and haven't gotten very far, it is the same principle applied to your kids. They have a little quiz for them in the back too. My kids took them and they were totally what I thought they would be. Happy Reading to All!

Minute Rice

Looking for a healthier option to replace your white rice? I would recommend WHOLE GRAIN Minute Rice. I saw some in Lindsay's cupboard when I was at her house for Christmas, came home, purchased some of it myself, and had it for dinner last night with my enchiladas. (see post below) I'm not a huge fan of wheat rice but this was really really good! Even my husband commented on how tasty it was!

GREAT RECIPE

I know there are 100 recipes out there for Chicken Enchiladas, and I myself have tried several different recipes, but this, by far, is THE easiest and THE yummiest I've tried.
1lbs cooked, shredded chicken
1 1/2-2 small cans diced green chilis
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (I use sharp)
10-12 flour tortillas
1 cup milk
2 cans cream of chicken soup
1 cup chicken broth
Mix shredded chicken, chili's and half the cheese together well. Divide between tortillas and roll up. Place in baking dish. Stir together milk, soup, broth and remaining cheese. Pour over tortialls, cover and let sit in the fridge AT LEAST 1-2 hours. Preheat oven to 350 and bake for uncovered for 30-40 minutes.
****THE LONGER THE ENCHILADAS SIT IN THE SAUCE THE BETTER THEY ARE***
(I usually prepare them the day before I serve them)
So we had these last night for dinner and YUMMY! This by far was my best batch and I served them with guacamole, whole wheat rice, salad and fiesta corn and tortilla chips. It was so delish. I even had left overs for lunch today.
HAPPY COOKING!

Need Makeup Recommendations!!

Hi ladies! Long time, no blog! I am sending a shout out for help on ideas for good foundation. I don't wear it, but I think it's time... I would like something that smooths out my uneven skin tone but looks natural too. If any of you wear foundation and have discovered a fanatasic brand, please help!! Happy New Year! Yvette
